Arusha National Park

Do you have a free day, maybe before a Kilimanjaro trekking adventure, or are you waiting for a flight to your next destination? This 1-day African safari and tour provides you with an opportunity of visiting Arusha National Park. This tour will be very enjoyable but yet a highlight of African adventure which will bring you to plan for more days next time.

Size: 552 sq km 212 sq miles).
Location: Northern Tanzania, northeast of Arusha town.

After breakfast you are met by our tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari briefing. Your driver will drive you to Arusha National Park with a land cruisers. Upon your arrival to Arusha National Park you can have a number of activities to be done. These include, walking safari accompanied with an armed ranger, game drive within the national park, bird watching at Momella Lake, hiking a little bit to the slopes of Mount Meru which is located within the park and is the second highest mountain in Tanzania after Mount Kilimanjaro, standing at 4,566m, followed by picnic lunch at the beautiful waterfalls of Meru.

Arusha National Park offers varieties of wildlife including capped African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys, velvet monkeys, colobus monkey and varieties of reptiles. At Lake Momella, you will see numerous numbers of birdlife which includes the resident and migratory once, common species including the pink flamingos and pelicans. Also there are over 450 species of birds which have been recorded in the park.

Among other fewer parks in Tanzania, Arusha National Park allows walking safari within the park escorted by an armed ranger. This will give you a chance to take closer picture of such animals like zebra, antelopes and buffalos along with birds on the trees. Late afternoon you will depart for Arusha Town or airport depends on your itinerary.

Tarangire National Park

This 1-day African safari and tour provide you with an opportunity of visiting Tarangire National Park. This tour will be very enjoyable but yet a highlight of African adventure which will bring you to plan for more days next time.

Size: 2850 sq km (1,096 sq miles).
Location: 118 km (75 miles) southwest of Arusha.

After breakfast you are met by our tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari briefing. After briefing you will depart for Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch. Tarangire derived its name from the Tarangire River which crosses along the center of the park and which provides permanent water for the wildlife and birdlife of the park round the year. It is here where a large group of different species of animal concentrate during the dry season and the best place to take photographs.

It's natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. Also it is in Tarangire by chance you can see the tree climbing African pythons.

Tarangire National Park accommodated migratory and resident birdlife and believed to be a paradise of birdwatchers as more than 350 different species have been recorded to-date. Other wildlife that Tarangire accommodates includes the rare Oryx, impalas, giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards and different types of gazelles.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park followed by a short afternoon game drive, along the Tarangire River. Late afternoon you will depart for Arusha Town or airport depends on your itinerary.

Lake Manyara National Park

This 1-day African safari and tour provide you with an opportunity of visiting Lake Manyara National Park. This tour will be very enjoyable but yet a highlight of African wildlife adventure which will bring you to plan for more days next time.

Size: 330 sq km (127 sq miles), of which up to 200 sq km (77 sq miles) is lake when water levels are high.
Location: In northern Tanzania. The entrance gate lies 1.5 hours (126km/80 miles) west of Arusha along a newly surfaced road, close to the ethnically diverse market town of Mto wa Mbu.

After breakfast you are met by our tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari briefing. After briefing you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park with packed lunch. Upon your arrival at Lake Manyara, you will be welcomed by the Great Rift Valley Escarpment view and fun makers' baboon in large groups at the entrance.

Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania's most dramatically located African wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley's western escarpment. The park's varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals; including one of Africa's densely populated African elephant, famous tree-climbing lions, as well as a large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the Lake.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park followed by an afternoon game drive, in search of the wildlife and birdlife that Manyara host, you will come along a famous hot spring known as "Maji Moto". Late afternoon you will depart for Arusha Town or airport depends on your itinerary.

Ngorongoro Crater

This tour will be very enjoyable but yet a highlight of African adventure which will bring you to plan for more days next time.

Non game-viewing travel time: 4½ hours
Distance: 270 km

Very early in the morning after your breakfast you will meet your driver guide for safari briefing. After a short discussion you will start your safari to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will pass Mto Wa Mbu village, Lake Manyara National Park and Karatu village. Ngorongoro crater is situated within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and has been recorded as 8 th wonders of the word for its beauty and amazing landscape.

Upon your arrival you will start with a place known as view point whereby you can see the entire crater floor after having all the authority formalities. Our safari will take us to descend to the crater floor about 660 meters with our picnic lunch for a full day game drive. The crater is famous for its permanent staying wildlife within the crater floor; this is due to the permanent water and green pasture that the crater has.

Ngorongoro crater has varieties of attraction which include the hot springs, vegetation, wildlife and birdlife. The wildlife which stays in the crater floor include, buffalo, lion, cheetah, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, rare black rhino, waterbuck, warthog a few just to mention. The crater also accommodates numerous numbers of birdlife migratory and resident birdlife round the year sending much time to the alkaline lakes that crater floor owns.

Whoever visit Ngorongoro crater has never regretted for what he/she did rather having fun and a history of his/her lifetime. Later in the afternoon we ascend the crater floor ready for depart to Moshi where we will end our safari adventure.

Mikumi National Park

Distance: 283 km (175 miles) from Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi.

Mikumi Safari is a short tour from Dar es Salaam, which takes you to visit one of the spectacular’s southern circuit National parks of Tanzania. The park hosts’ small and large mammals including variety of birds species and reptiles.

We pick you up early in the morning at your hotel at 06:30 am drive direct to Mikumi National park where you will arrive around 10:00 am and starting a morning game drive.This park is home to Elephant, Lion, Wild dog, Zebras, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Eland, Hartebeest, Crocodile, Lizard and other residents. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park  then drive to the hotel for lunch  at Mikumi Wildlife Camp Restaurant or similar, after  game drive en route back to Dar Es Salaam and drop you off at  your hotel.

Saadani National Park

Distance: 200 km (124 miles) from Dar Es Salaam to Saadani.

Saadani National Park is the perfect union of beach and bush. Located just 70 km north of Bagamoyo and easily accessible by paved road from Dar es Salaam, Saadani is a wonderful day-trip from the beach resorts scattered along Tanzania's northern coast. The only wildlife sanctuary in East Africa to boast an Indian Ocean beachfront, it possesses all the attributes that make Tanzania's tropical coastline and islands so popular with European sun-worshippers.

The Wami River which passes through Saadani National Park and empties into the Indian Ocean hosts a large population of hippos, crocodiles, flamingos and many large bird species.

Elephants are often viewed bathing and playing on Saadani's beach specially in the early hours of the morning. The elephant population frolics in the sands and sometimes ventures into the crashing surf; this alone makes Saadani worth visiting.
